Surgical Treatment

There are several surgical options available, and the choice depends on factors such as the location and severity of the degenerated disc, the patient's overall health, and the surgeon's expertise.

Fusion aims to stabilize the spine by joining adjacent vertebrae using bone grafts, metal implants, or both. Fusion restricts motion between the vertebrae and can provide long-term relief by eliminating the pain caused by the degenerated disc.
